Success and Lessons Learned from Resident Engagement Champions

This session will feature the real-life stories of leaders in the resident engagement field, with Merrill Gardens’ Jamie Johnson, and the Center for Applied Research in Dementia’s Stacey Flint. They will share inspiring stories of success, as well as challenges they face, in creating meaningful and purposeful opportunities for residents, especially those living with dementia. Johnson and Flint will also examine how they have adapted their work in a post-pandemic environment and offer perspectives on the future of resident engagement for activity professionals. Learn about tried-and-true strategies that they have implemented and walk away with actionable advice on how to implement them successfully.
