Presbyterian Senior Living Announces New Partnership with Linked Senior
Posted on September 14, 2021
Presbyterian Senior Living (PSL) is excited to share that it has rolled out Linked Senior throughout its communities to support its team members in meaningfully engaging their residents so they can find purpose everyday.
Finding purpose is a basic human right regardless of our place in society, background or age. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold and disrupt the senior living industry, it has been extremely challenging for senior living leaders to ensure residents find meaning every day through person-centered engagement. Facing an unprecedented labor crisis, increased demands from clients and family members and the rise of the Delta variant, care partners are confronting a number of challenges when it comes to ensuring that residents have the experience they want and deserve.
Presbyterian Senior Living’s commitment to providing quality services is illustrated in their mission statement, vision statement, and organizational values and through this partnership with Linked Senior, they are able to continue carrying out their high standard for resident quality of life. This partnership increases the ability for families, residents, and staff to work with synergy in a way that was not available before.
“PSL is very pleased to partner with Linked Senior to provide research-based engagement opportunities that are fun and person-centered. There really is something for everyone on Linked Senior,” said Alicia Fenstermacher, PSL’s Vice President of Purposeful Living. “Linked Senior provides us the flexibility to customize content based on special events or resident-specific interests, which makes this a fantastic and exciting tool for us. The opportunities to learn something new and reminisce are limitless”
“We really like Linked Senior! I love that we are able to send in requests for new programs that are person-centered, which is super helpful for one-to-one visits with residents,” said Brianna Geist, Community Life & Volunteer Services Coordinator. “We utilize the tool with both personal care and skilled nursing residents. We’ve played ‘stick man,’ ‘remember when,’ and different trivia games. We have used Linked Senior to play music for residents in personal care at lunchtime. For a one-to-one visit, I played the live cat cam which the resident absolutely loved. I would recommend Linked Senior to anyone and everyone!”
“Alicia and her team represent the best resident engagement leaders in the senior living industry. It has been fascinating to learn about their work, the way they support the experiences of older adults regardless of their preferences and aging journey,” shared Charles de Vilmorin, Linked Senior CEO and Co-Founder. “Our whole team is proud to partner with Presbyterian Senior Living, and excited to collaborate in building an experience care partners want and residents deserve.”
