WASHINGTON DC, MARCH, 30, 2016: – Linked Senior, the leading web-based dementia engagement platform for the senior care market, announces that Susan Levy, MD, CMD, AGSF, will serve as the company’s Chief Medical Officer as part of her commitment to the support the value of life enrichment in promoting quality of life for seniors.
Dr. Levy will collaborate with the Linked Senior management team in the development and execution of the clinical and medical aspects of its products and services, contribute her expertise to advance quality of care to people living with dementia and bring her unique perspective and experience in introducing dementia behavior management best practices as it relates to technology adoption in the senior care market.

Dr. Levy earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. She also completed a geriatric fellowship at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She returned to Baltimore as Section Chief of Geriatric Medicine for a community hospital in Baltimore where she ran the Geriatric Assessment Program, developed the curriculum and oversaw training of the internal medicine residents in geriatric medicine, and began her career as a medical director.
She maintained an outpatient practice including house calls in addition to her nursing home work. She later became the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital where she continued in her work as a medical director with oversight of two community nursing homes, a hospital based SNF as well as a Long Term Acute Care Hospital. The LTACH included a twenty bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF). She served as the medical advisor for two assisted livings in the Baltimore area. She currently resides in Delaware where she is medical director of two nursing homes and does additional consulting work related to geriatric medicine with a focus on the Post-Acute and Long Term Care continuum.
Dr. Levy is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative She has been a medical director for over 25 years and a certified medical director (CMD) since 1996. She is currently the President of AMDA, the Society for Post-Acute and Long Term Care Medicine. She has chaired or participated in the development of the Pain, COPD, Infection, Incontinence and the Health Care Maintenance clinical practice guidelines. She has served as the President of the Maryland Medical Directors Association from 2004 to 2008 which is now the Mid-Atlantic Medical Directors Association.
