Washington DC, February 4th 2014: – Harmony Senior Services, a fully-integrated owner and manager of Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care senior communities providing exceptional care and service has deployed Linked Senior in 4 of their 6 existing communities and will roll out the service in all their new communities as they open. Currently there are 5 new communities scheduled to open in 2015 and 10 more in 2016.
A cloud-based dementia and therapy engagement software, Linked Senior improves care, client satisfaction and helps reduce anti-psychotic drug use by supporting person-centered life enrichment. Through interactive touch screen kiosks and tablets, the platform enables the staff to conduct quality programming and therapy based on the clients’ needs.
“We are pleased with Linked Senior’s capabilities and achievable performance in terms of providing a more personalized approach to our residents individually and in group settings, which enhances socialization as well,” said Brent D. Russell, Chief Operating Officer of Harmony Senior Services. “The ability to enrich the lives of our residents while utilizing a platform that is so easy to use, can be self-directed and is available nights and on weekends is exciting. We look forward to exploring the many possible uses for Linked Senior in all of our communities and we can see the potential for the immediate benefits it offers in terms of engaging all residents, especially those with dementia.”
Linked Senior’s mission is to enhance life in senior communities. By empowering the staff with these tools, an organization can offer its residents advanced programs that are more person-centered, thereby improving quality of care and client satisfaction. The result is better dementia engagement that improves quality of life, staff productivity and client satisfaction
According to Charles de Vilmorin, Linked Senior CEO, “Harmony Senior Services is deeply committed to quality and bringing the best services to the people that deserve it the most: our seniors. Partnering with them in building tomorrow’s person centered care is an honor and we’re excited to be able to support their vision while serving their residents and families.”
Data and clinical research show that more than 60% of assisted living and 80% of nursing home residents have some level of cognitive impairment. With the increase in client acuity and the recent anti-psychotic drug reduction CMS initiative, providing quality care has never been as challenging. By empowering dementia care engagement, Linked Senior provides a simple and effective answer to comply with regulations while supporting person-centered care.
