Here is an announcement from Leading Age, formerly AAHSA:
Starting today, our association will officially be known as LeadingAge. LeadingAge reinforces our commitment as not-for-profit organizations not only to providing services and care, but also to leading the charge for change in the way our country views aging.
Our restated mission is Expanding the World of Possibilities for Aging. With our new name comes a new promise: Inspire. Serve. Advocate. It’s a promise embedded in who we are and what we do. .
Rest assured, our association’s commitment to you will not waiver. You can expect the same strong attention to technical assistance, education, networking, research and advocacy that you count on us to provide.
In addition, the Institute for the Future of Aging Services (IFAS) will now become the Leading Age Center for Applied Research. The center will continue to create a bridge between the practice, policy and research communities to advance the development of high-quality health, housing and supportive services for America’s aging population.
The Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST) will now be known as the LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technologies. Its work will expedite the development, evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies that will transform the aging experience.
