Understanding the Proposed Final Rule: Minimum Staffing Standards for Senior Care

During this session, the new mandatory minimum staffing requirements for nursing facilities will be reviewed including an emphasis on concisely defining the staffing requirements required for nursing staff. Real time examples will be included regarding how to develop and implement a facility assessment which incorporates resident, family, and staff engagement as well as how to identify resources to meet the needs of residents and methods to link the facility assessment to day-to-day operations and emergencies.

- Participants will understand methods to link the facility assessment to staffing plan, emergency preparedness, and QAPI
